Start here before sending a report. These topics cover the most likely setup issues for permissions, windows, capture sources, and optional AI modes.

Canvas or control windows feel out of sync

Prismo uses a control window, a separate canvas window, and Settings, so macOS window placement matters.

•Check other displays or Spaces first if the canvas seems missing.
•Make sure you are looking at the correct window for controls versus the live canvas.
•If window placement looks stale after a display change, relaunch Prismo and reopen your scene.

Webcam-reactive visuals are unavailable

Camera access is only needed when you explicitly enable webcam-reactive visuals.

•Confirm macOS Camera access is enabled for Prismo in System Settings.
•Try another webcam-enabled app to confirm the device is available system-wide.
•Disable and re-enable webcam-reactive mode after permission changes.

Audio-reactive visuals are not responding

Microphone input and app or system audio capture can require different macOS permissions.

•For microphone-driven visuals, confirm Prismo has Microphone permission.
•If you enable app or system audio capture, macOS may also require Screen and System Audio Recording permission before Prismo can browse or capture app audio.
•After granting access, retry the input source so macOS refreshes the available devices.

Photos will not import or saves do not appear

Prismo only touches your photo library when you choose photos for visuals or ask it to save a capture.

•Check Photos access in System Settings if importing still fails.
•If a save-to-Photos action does not complete, verify Prismo can add to your library.
•Keep source media local if you are testing with private material and only share it when support asks.

Chat-driven creation, editing, or a renderer is misbehaving

AI features and renderer types are optional, and isolating the exact path helps support reproduce the issue.

•Note which renderer type was active when the issue happened.
•Confirm whether you were using local API key mode, ChatGPT OAuth mode, or no AI mode at all.
•If the problem is scene-specific, include the prompt or content only if you are comfortable sharing it.

What Prismo asks for and why

Prismo requests access only for the feature you choose to use. If a permission changes while the app is open, retry the feature after granting access so macOS can refresh the available devices and libraries.

Camera

Prismo uses camera input when you enable webcam-reactive visuals.

Optional AI modes

AI features are not required to use Prismo.

Prismo can operate without any AI provider enabled. If you choose an AI mode, note whether you used local API key mode or ChatGPT OAuth mode via the local daemon when you contact support.

Prompts and any related account handoff are processed by the provider you selected only after you enable that mode.
