Privacy First
Remixel keeps the core creative workflow on your Mac
Remixel is a local-first macOS generative visuals app for assistant-guided creation and editing, audio-reactive scenes, photo inputs, local media folders, and a native macOS graphics pipeline. This policy explains what permissions the app may request, what it does not track, and when OpenAI is involved for core remixing requests.

Core Principles
How Remixel approaches privacy
The app is designed around local rendering first. External processing is limited to the OpenAI requests you trigger from remixing and scene-combination workflows.
Permissions
What access Remixel may request
Permissions are tied to the exact feature you turn on. If you do not use a given feature, the related permission is not needed.
Remixel uses OpenAI account sign-in for remixing and scene-combination requests via a local daemon. Those flows require an active OpenAI subscription, even though the visual canvas continues rendering locally on your Mac.
Prompts and any related account handoff are processed by OpenAI only for the workflows you trigger. OpenAI's own terms and privacy practices apply to that processing.
